Tam.Your Hollyhocks are a beautiful harbinger of Spring! Thank you for sharing them.Connie
Awww thanks Connie!!!
so fresh and crisp! I can just about smell the air and hear the birds chirp. Flowers utterly defeat me, but this makes me want to try again
Melinda, Thanks for the kind comments. I agree, flowers are a challenge. I would love to see a flower of yours!
Hate to tell you but Spring is a twinkle in your eye. I just love how the paintings look on this birch board, Dick Blick watch out. Love these flowers in real life and these look so good, just want to reach out and touch. Nice.
So glad you like the birch boards. So happy you like my work, too!!!
Thanks so much, Paula!
I really like this piece. We always had hollyhocks growing by the side of the house when I was growing up and I regret that I don't have anywhere they would grow in my yard.
Hollyhocks are a pretty plant for sure and fun to paint. So glad you like them!!!
the depth in the forward facing flower reads so well as does the whole painting. I love the purples used for the shadow side of the flowers. You captured them!
Thank you for your comments.
