More dogs!!! Can't get enough of them!!!  It is always tricky to paint someone else's dog because it has to be perfect in likeness. I think it is pretty close so I am happy!

  1. Oh....another nice dog portrait! So detailed. I am wondering how much time you are spending on each painting.

    1. Thank Jiyoung. I do paint very longs hours but this did take more than a day!

  2. What a cherished keepsake you have created! Love the softness. It's like you could feel the fur the fur if you reached out and petted this dog.

    1. June, Thanks so much! I found these new brushes at Michaels that are like a comb and they really helped me get the fur soft. I had never used them before but will continue with them.

  3. Well I sure would be happy if I were the customer and you. It turned out beautiful. I found the birch boards at Blick, am going to have to study up on them but know I will be petrified to put the first paint on it as they are somewhat costly. But.... you do what you got to do and I sure like the look you get - hope it will come through osmosis? :) Seriously, I love your dogs!!!

    1. So glad. You might really like them. I really do because they are first pretty and second, they don't need to be framed so they are actually cheaper in the long run.

  4. Fantastic! I share your enthusiasm for dogs and know the anxiety of getting that likeness. Luckily the smile on their face when they see the painting is worth the worry.
